On June 1st, Gallery proudly presents prolific UK producer Tom VR for his first headline show in Australia at 24 Moons Melbourne/Naarm. By his side are an impressive crop of selectors including DJ Life, Tinika & Lex who’ll deliver stylish and powerful tunes from 10 pm til 5 am.
Tom is on a major rise with those he looks up to regularly spinning his tracks at sets all over the world. From Ben UFO to Four Tet, BICEP and Avalon Emerson these heavyweights + more are gravitating to his special mix of textural house and uplifting techno that sounds unique to him.
Rolling off the release of his celebrated EP “Heart Can Still Somersault”, Tom has recently played big sets across major cities including Amsterdam, Berlin, Shanghai and Beijing, ending in a maiden live set at London’s iconic club, Fabric. A wizard at making obscure sounds so danceable there’s no doubt these two hours will be special.
Homegrown hero DJ Life will also be on the tools, filling 24 Moons with bouncy tech-house and progressive basslines. Over the trip, he has released on a ream of class labels including Craigie Knowes, Dansu Discs and Rand Muzik. Also up for the party come Tinika, fresh from showcasing her bass driven rhythms at Sonder, Pitch and Boiler Room and Pitch with 2kisses label owner, Gallery alumni and one of the best selectors we’ve met in Lex rounding out the cast.
An all-nighter of great magnitude awaits…come early and dance til late.
